They can be categorized by filling and appearance into types such as standard stuffed toys, animal-shaped toys, and cartoon or anime characters, with cleaning methods including both dry cleaning and washing.
China's plush toy industry has established a complete industrial chain. Yangzhou alone is home to approximately 2,000 registered enterprises across the entire chain, generating an annual output value exceeding 20 billion yuan, with annual export values ranging from 3 billion to 4 billion yuan. In 2024, the plush toy industry cluster in Chashan Town reached an industrial scale of 5 billion yuan, comprising 61 enterprises with an R&D investment intensity of 1.13% and holding 17 invention patents.
